Sidney T. Chang, M.D.
Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist
Dr. Sidney T. Chang works full-time at Center for Sight Maui as a fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist, where he provides timely, professional eye examinations as well as the evaluation and management of a variety of ocular diseases such as cataract, glaucoma, pterygia, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy. He welcomes routine new patients as well as emergencies and referrals for complex eye diseases.
Before joining Center for Sight Maui, Dr. Chang was an Attending Physician at the Saint Louis Veteran’s Administration Medical Center and the Barnes-Jewish Hospital as well as an Instructor in Ophthalmology at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Chang completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science from Cornell University and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City. He completed his residency training at the Flaum Eye Institute and fellowship training in Glaucoma from Washington University
in Saint Louis, Missouri. Dr. Chang is also board-certified from the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Various medical journals have published Dr.Chang's articles and his exceptional service and work has garnered numerous grants, honors and awards. In addition, he is actively involved in Ophthalmology education as Co-Editor of the board preparation website, OphthoQuestions.
Dr. Chang is excited to provide compassionate and excellent care to the people of Maui. He and his wife Cheryl enjoy snorkeling, traveling, cooking, and live music.
